Eight-year-old kidnapped girl rescued | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Palghar: An eight-year-old girl kidnapped by a history-sheeter was rescued in 48 hours by the police assisted by several social groups on Friday.
The family residing in Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Wada (Palghar district), complained on the night of Feb 27 that their eight-year-old daughter had been kidnapped.
The kidnapper lured the minor with a chocolate. The only information available was that the suspect was in a white shirt and black trousers and wore a white cap.
Police scanned CCTVs and came across the footage of the person with a similar description. Police identified him as David aka Gurunath Mukne.
“Till 4.30 am Friday there was no clue and then around 5 am one of our team spotted the accused near Ainshet village with the minor and we rescued her,” said Dattatray Kendre, senior police inspector of the Wada police station. The suspect worked as a labourer in a brick kiln.
