Mumbai: Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has directed MMRDA officials to clear debris, scrap, and machinery lying between pillars of Mumbai Metro corridors. He instructed appointment of a nodal officer to oversee implementation and warned of action against officials and contractors failing to comply. Shinde said that once metro construction is done at a site, leftover material be removed quickly, and unnecessary barricades be taken down to ease traffic congestion. TNN
