Drown: Tragic Drowning Incident of Two 6-Year-Olds Near Pond | Bhubaneswar News
Berhampur: Two six-year-old girls drowned in a pond in Sindurapur village under Sanakhemundi police station limits in Ganjam district on Sunday. Sources said the victims were playing near the pond with another child and the duo might have slipped and fell into the pond. “They were taken to the nearby community health centre, Digapahandi, where they were declared dead,” Ajay Kumar Swain, inspector in-charge at Sanakhemundi police station, said.
The deceased were identified as Tulasi Dakua, daughter of Balaram Dakua, and Silima Nayak, daughter of Santosh Nayak.
In another incident, a 21-year-old man drowned while taking bath at sadar pond at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district on Sunday. tnn
