Doctor riding scooter in ICU after hit-&-run | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Thane: A doctor sustained serious injury after the scooter she was riding had a collision with a car in Ambernath Sunday evening. The car driver fled from the spot, the police said.
The scooterist, Reshma Verma (40), has sustained multiple injuries to the body, and has been admitted to the ICU. A “speeding” car knocked down her scooter near Chikhloli, causing it to fall on the left side, the police said, adding that the crash has been captured on CCTV. The footage, said the police, shows the “car hit the scooter so badly” that the rider was thrown off the two-wheeler.
Onlookers and locals rushed to the scooter rider’s aide, and called up the police who took the injured rider to a private hospital. She has suffered injuries to the hands, a leg, head, and back, the police said.
