NEW DELHI: Actor Dino Morea is being questioned by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police in connection with the ongoing investigation into the alleged Mithi River cleaning scam on Monday.According to police sources, Morea’s name surfaced during the probe due to his alleged association with one of the individuals already arrested in the case. The EOW is examining whether the actor had any direct or indirect involvement in the financial irregularities related to the river rejuvenation project.The Mithi River scam involves allegations of corruption, misappropriation of funds, and irregularities in contracts awarded for the cleaning and desilting of the river, a project that has received significant government funding over the years.Further inquiries and statements are expected as the investigation progresses.
