Diarrhoea: Two women die of diarrhoea in Balangir district | Bhubaneswar News
Balangir: Two women from Lakhapali village in Balangir district’s Puintala block have died of diarrhoea within a week. Four are undergoing treatment in Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital and one person has been shifted to VIMSAR, Burla. Earlier, 10 villagers were discharged from hospital. According to sources, few days back some villagers complained of loose motion and vomiting.They were immediately admitted to hospital. Subsequently, more villagers developed similar symptoms.
“A medical team is deployed to conduct contact tracing and provide immediate medical assistance to the affected people,” said Kuber Mahanta, chief district medical officer, in-charge.
