Religious Shrines of Mahanubhava Panth in state to be developed: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

MUMBAI: The state government has resolved to develop all the major shrines of Mahanubhava Panth in next five years. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said here today that the development works have started at some places and the works will start soon at the remaining places.
He was present at the inaugural function of the Nava Parva and Kalsharohan ceremony of Shri Krishna Dev Ukhalai Temple in Guruvarya Bapu Nagar at Hadgaon, the place of worship of Mahanubhava panth in Nanded district. Thousands of followers of Mahanubhava Panth along with Mathadhipati of Mahanubhava Pantha from various places in Marathwada, Vidarbha and Maharashtra attended the ceremony.
Vairagyamurti Mathadhipati Mahant Shri Yogi Bapu organized this programme. While Peethadhish of the area along with Kavishwaracharya Mahurkar Baba were sitting on the dharmapeeth. These Mathadipatis from various places in Maharashtra presented chief ninister Devendra Fadnavis a letter of appreciation in recognition of his work for the followers of Mahanubhava Panth.
Chief Minister Shri Fadnavis first paid obeisance to Chakradhar Swami. After that, speaking from the Dharmpeeth, he recalled that Sarvagya Chakradhar Swami and his followers had done the work for protection of religion under very adverse conditions. He glorified the work of Mahanubhava Panthis. Due to foreign invasion, it became difficult to worship Lord Krishna and to be called Hindu. During that period, Chakradhar Swami showed great experience without thinking about caste and creed, he created a harmonious and egalitarian society in the country.
He talked about the works done by Maharashtra government for the development of temples of Mahanubhava Panth at all the places in the state. Conservation work is being done at many places like Riddhapur’s Panchaleshwar, Dev of Jali, Govind Prabhu Devasthan. He assured that this work will continue.
Also, the development works will be done after removing the encroachments on these places through discussion. He said that the state government will stand strongly for good works.
On this occasion, he praised the great intellectuals’ love of books, perseverance in creating religious literature. Marathi language got the status of classic language, got state recognition. Mahanubhava literature plays a major role in this. One important piece of evidence that we provided and that was accepted was Leela Charitra. The proof of how ancient Marathi language was, was proved through it. A Marathi language university has been established at Riddhapur, where Leela Charitra Granth was written. The development of this university will be done during the next phase. On this occasion, he appealed to spread our literature, thoughts and spirituality to the whole world though Mahanubhava Panth by using Marathi Language University.
Mahanubhava Panth has reached not only to the corners of the country but also to Afghanistan. Today we see such a large sect working on the principle of equality. Today, such a large group of monks have come to this place. This tradition should continue in future also, he expressed while greeting all dignitaries on the Dharmpeeth.
Earlier, Shri Fadnavis went to the restored Ukhalai Mai temple for darshan. On this occasion, the Kalasharohan took place in the presence of Saints and Mahatmas. This temple is believed to be five hundred years old. On this occasion, he offered devotions to Shri Krishna idol. Vairagyamurthy Datta Bapu, the organizer of the program was felicitated. Representative service awards were given to devotees.
