Bhubaneswar: Lobhabati Parida, the mother of deputy chief minister Pravati Parida, died on Thursday aged 89. Family sources said she suffered from age-related ailments and was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack. Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed condolences and posted on X: “I am saddened and deeply moved by the news of the passing of the Deputy Chief Minister’s mother, Lobhabati Parida.

I offer my condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul’s peace. May the Almighty grant her a place in heaven.”
