Nod to debate on pvt bills against anti-cow slaughter

Bhubaneswar: Speaker Surama Padhy on Friday accepted to allow a debate on private member bills on stricter anti-cow slaughter laws. BJD MLA Souvic Biswal and BJP MLA Santosh Khatua have separately moved the Odisha Prohibition of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill, 2024 seeking to ban cow slaughter, with stricter punishment against perpetrators.TNN
