Dassault to launch 2 new AI tools to aid innovation | Bengaluru News

Houston: For Shubam Singh, the confines of corporate life proved too restrictive in just 10 months. The chemical engineering graduate from BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru charted a different path. In 2018, his sister Himansha and he co-founded Craste—a startup that transforms agricultural waste into an array of biodegradable alternatives.
UK-based designer Jade Wilson, combining her professional skills with her passion for French patisserie, meticulously designed and 3D-printed a ring box shaped like a macaron. In Bengaluru, Sriharsha Sheshanarayana is hoping to change traditional farming methods as CTO of Bullwork Mobility. His agritech company hopes to empower farmers with sustainable electric tractors and a suite of autonomous solutions driving a change in agriculture.
The common link connecting these three innovators is the Dassault Systèmes’ SolidWorks platform that is said to have helped shape their ideas. These innovations were among the many showcased at Dassault Systèmes’ annual 3DExperience World 2025, held in Houston, Texas, recently. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of SolidWorks, the gathering brought together students, designers, engineers and manufacturers working in fields as diverse as accessories to robotics, from toys to trucks.
Opening 3DExperience World 2025, Dassault Systèmes CEO Pascal Daloz spoke about being in the ‘generative economy’ that takes inspiration from nature to design smarter and to waste less. “There are certain things you must remember about generative economy – it is that the knowledge you have in designing, engineering and manufacturing, the data you create is the currency of generative economy. We’re bringing to you the very best of modelling, simulations, data science, and now AI-generated content. This is what we call 3D UNIV+RSES. The new generation places artificial intelligence at the very core of everything we do,” he told Solidworks and 3DExperience community users.
And to leverage the power of AI, Daloz said, SolidWorks is introducing two AI-powered services – Generative Experiences and Virtual Companions, which will enable makers to, through virtual twins, simulate, test and refine their configuration and processes.
Virtual Companion Aura Unveiled
Dassault Systèmes announced the launch of Aura, an AI-powered virtual co-pilot designed to transform CAD design experience. Manish Kumar, chief executive officer of SolidWorks, elaborated: “Aura is a virtual companion that learns from you, teaches you and performs tasks for you. It will secure your IP on our platform and provide responses which will be exclusive to the user, providing additional protection for your data. It’s more than just a tool.” Kumar announced that Aura is currently in the beta phase and will be released in July.
Tieup with Apple Vision Pro
Dassault also announced that its 3DExperience platform will soon leverage spatial computing through a new app called “3DLive” for Apple Vision Pro, which will be available this summer. The company has partnered with Apple to integrate Vision Pro capabilities into the 3DExperience platform. “With 3DLive, virtual twins created on the 3DExperience platform can extend into a user’s physical space, enabling real-time visualisation and team collaboration in realistic environments. Vision Pro’s cameras, sensors and tracking allow virtual twins to interact with the physical world with scientific accuracy,” Dassault said.
