Koraput: Moments after they were sentenced to seven years in prison in an ATM loot case, two convicts escaped from police custody at the Nabarangpur district headquarters court on Monday.
Sakil Khan and Shahrukh Khan, both from Haryana, were among five accused found guilty of looting a public sector bank ATM near Nabarangpur block office on Jan 31.
“They had previously obtained bail from the high court and were convicted on Monday. We have launched a manhunt to apprehend them,” said Sambit Behera, IIC of Nabarangpur Town police station. TNN
