D’bhanga rural SP resigns, cites personal reason

Patna: Rural SP of Darbhanga, Kamya Mishra, on Monday submitted her resignation, citing personal and family reasons. She sent her resignation to Darbhanga SSP, Jagannath Reddy.
In her resignation letter she mentioned that she was very dedicated to her work, but had to take this decision due to personal reasons. IPS officer, Mishra, joined the police service in 2019 by clearing the UPSC exam in her first attempt.
Darbhanga SSP said, “I have received the resignation letter of Mishra today.She has cited personal reasons behind the decision. I will soon forward her resignation to Bihar police headquarters (PHQ) for further action.”
Mishra had solved the high-profile murder case of Jitan Sahani, father of VIP supremo Mukesh Sahni. As per regulations, IPS officers send their resignation to the home department and police headquarters of their cadre state.
According to Darbhanga police sources, she had been planning to resign for the past one month. Mishra’s husband, Awadhesh Saroj Dixit, is also an IPS officer and her batch mate. He is currently serving as City SP of Muzaffarpur.
Mishra, a native of Odisha, had secured 172nd rank and was selected for the Indian Police Service.
