Patna: Following the release of the CUET-UG 2024 results on Sunday, the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has announced the schedule for online counselling for admission to its 18 undergraduate programmes (UG) for the academic year 2024-25.
The university’s public relations officer, Md Mudassir Alam, informed TOI that registration for counselling and admission for all candidates who participated in the CUET-UG-2024 examination will commence on Thursday, without considering the cut-off scores of the test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Alam said that this year, the university would offer 638 seats across 18 undergraduate programs, which include 14 newly introduced courses.
These programmes consist of integrated UG-PG courses in various subjects such as geography, statistics, chemistry, mathematics, psychology, political science, international relations, history, sociology, physics, English, economics, commerce, and Hindi, besides a five-year BBA LLB course.
CUSB’s deputy registrar, Kumar Kaushal, stated that a merit list for admission will be generated from candidates who get registered within the designated time limit. Only those registered on the CUSB portal will be eligible for counselling and admission.
“The first merit list will be published on August 9, and selected candidates will be able to pay their admission fees from August 9 to 12. The provisional list of admitted undergraduate students for the 2024-25 academic year will be available on the website on August 14, and classes for the current academic session would commence on August 20,” he added.

In CUET-UG 2024, 22,920 candidates achieved full marks in 45 subjects, reflecting a marginal increase from previous years. The Medical Counselling Committee announced the NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule, starting on August 14, 2024. Registrations are set for the first week of August. The process includes three rounds and a stray vacancy round for already registered candidates. Key dates include choice filling until August 20 and seat allotment results on August 23, 2024.
