CUO Students Demand Better Hostel Facilities: Protest Highlights Deteriorating Conditions | Bhubaneswar News

Koraput: Students at the Central University of Odisha (CUO) staged a sit-in protest on Monday demanding immediate action on deteriorating condition in the hostel at the Sunabeda campus.
During the protest, held at the university’s main gate, students highlighted issues like substandard quality of food and inadequate drinking water supply in the hostels.
“We’re forced to have poor quality food and basic amenities like clean drinking water is scarce,” said a protesting student. Students alleged these problems have persisted despite repeated complaints to the authorities.
CUO vice-chancellor Chakradhar Tripathi assured that the administration is taking steps to address the concerns. “We’ve engaged in constructive dialogue with the students and will implement solutions within govt guidelines,” Tripathi said.
