CTET Impersonation Scam Uncovered in Maner | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Three persons were arrested for impersonating candidates in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) held at a centre in Sherpur under Maner police station in Patna district on Sunday.
The accused, Rekha Kumari, Raias, and Bittu Kumar, were caught after their biometric data didn’t match the records. A fake examinee was also caught in Bihta, while four fake examinees were caught in Neora.“Rekha pretended to be her sister Pooja Kumari, while Raees and Bittu Kumar impersonated Abdus Salim and Dhananjay Yadav, respectively. The incident came to light when the biometric data of the candidates were not matched with the agency’s data centre,” police said.
Burglary in electronics store: In a daring heist, thieves broke into an electronics store in Patna’s Didarganj area on Saturday night, making off with cellphones, television sets, and cash worth around Rs 20 lakh.
The store owner, Brajesh Kumar, reported the incident to the police, who are using CCTV footage to identify the suspects. “The thieves cut through the shutters and entered the store, stealing 50 cellphones, 30 TVs, irons, chargers, and Rs35,000 in cash,” said Didarganj SHO, Mithilesh Kumar.
