CPET Results: Govt announces CPET results; students can now apply for PG courses | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: The higher education department on Monday published the results of the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET), 2024, beginning the admission process in postgraduate (PG) courses for over 50,000 students, who appeared for the exam, conducted between July 3 and 14.
All the examinees will receive ranks and accordingly, the students will need to select their choices online between August 6 and 12 for admission in higher education institutions.
The first-round selection list will be published on August 20. Admission for this round will be held from August 21 to August 24. The second-round selection list will be published on August 31 and admission for this round will be conducted between September 2 and September 4, official sources said. The final round selection list will be announced on September 10 and admission for this round will be held between September 11 and September 13.
The merit list of the reported waitlisted applicants will be published at the e-space of the higher education institution concerned on September 24. Waitlisted candidates will be admitted to higher education institutions from September 26 to September 28. Classes for PG first-year will commence from September 18. Last year, classes started on August 21 before the completion of the admission process. Last year, Phase-II admission process was initiated after many PG seats were vacant.
The number of PG seats in the state has doubled in the last five years. This time, 28,984 PG seats are available in 114 higher education institutes.
