CHENNAI: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), in partnership with HLL Management Academy (HMA), has rolled out an M-cup distribution drive at CPCL Polytechnic College, Manali.
The initiative under Project THINKAL aims at promoting menstrual hygiene through eco-friendly alternatives. Women in Manali, Ennore and Tiruvottiyur will benefit from it.
The drive was inaugurated by Gomuraj, deputy general manager (administration), CPCL, who distributed menstrual cups to beneficiaries and launched an educational booklet detailing safe usage practices.
Project THINKAL, led by HMA, focuses on spreading awareness about menstrual health and encouraging the adoption of reusable menstrual cups to reduce waste and promote affordability.
“Menstrual hygiene is not just a health issue—it’s about dignity, empowerment and sustainability,” said Gomuraj. “With THINKAL, we hope to create lasting change in how menstrual health is viewed and managed, especially in underserved communities.”
CPCL and HMA plan to expand the programme to other parts of Tamil Nadu in the coming months.
