Court extends Audi driver’s custody; Mumbai cops hunt for 4 more | Mumbai News – Times of India


MUMBAI: Vijay Gore (45), a software engineer who crashed his Audi car into two autorickshaws early on Monday in Mulund, injuring four, was remanded to one more day of police custody after cops objected to his bail application.
Mulund police informed the magistrate court that they were looking for four more youths who were with Gore at the time of the accident and who might have fled the scene.A police officer said, “Gore is not cooperating with the investigation. We have found CCTV footage in which four youths are seen moving with Gore in the car since Sunday evening. We want to question the four. Besides, Gore’s blood test report is yet to come which will determine the quantum of alcohol he had consumed at the time of the accident.”
Gore is suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his car into two autorickshaws on the Eastern Express Highway in Mulund. The accident resulted in four people, including two autorickshaw drivers and two passengers, suffering fractures. All four injured have been admitted to private hospitals and are out of danger.
