Couple Killed: Fatal motorcycle-truck collision claims couple’s lives, son injured | Bhubaneswar News


Koraput: A couple was killed and their nine-year-old son injured after the motorcycle in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Rabanaguda chowk under Kundei police station in Nabarangpur district on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Ajit Majumdar and his wife, Deepika, of Parichipara village in Nabarangpur district. Police said the incident occurred when the family was returning home after offering prayers at a Shiva temple in Hatabharandi near Kundai.
“The couple died on the spot after being hit by the truck coming from the opposite direction.Their child escaped with minor injuries. The bodies were sent for autopsy and an investigation is on,” said SDPO (Umerkote), Madhusikta Mishra.
