Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police caught 300 motorists driving under the influence of alcohol during a special drive on Saturday.
Five motorists were caught with a blood alcohol content between 300 mg and 500 mg against the permissible limit of 30 mg/100 ml. Similarly, 17 offenders were caught with levels between 200mg and 300mg.

Officials said of 300 caught, 281 were two-wheelers and 58 were four-wheelers. The highest number of people were caught under the Miyapur police station limits, where 33 drivers were nabbed. This was followed by RC Puram and Shadnagar.
The motorists were warned that those who cause accidents under influence of alcohol will be booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. tnn
