Rourkela: A constable of Mahulpada police station in Sundargarh district drowned in a village pond on Friday. Deceased, Rajesh Kumar Pradhan (43), had gone to his home in Ruguda village on leave. On Friday afternoon, he entered the pond to bathe but drowned. Locals rescued him and shifted him to Bonai sub-divisional hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The post-mortem was conducted on Saturday and his body was handed over to his family. Police have registered an unnatural death case.TNN
