'Congress govt never retaliated after 26/11': BJP leader CR Kesavan praises PM Narendra Modi after 'Operation Sindoor'

NEW DELHI: BJP leader CR Kesavan criticized the Congress party on Tuesday for their inaction after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, highlighting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the one who revoked Pakistan’s Most Favoured Nation status in 2019 and has taken decisive action against terrorism, including the recent Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.Kesavan praised PM Modi’s leadership in handling terrorism and his recent address to the nation about Operation Sindoor.“The Congress government never retaliated after 26/11. In 2019, it was only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who removed Pakistan’s Most Favoured Nation status, and the Congress did not do that in 2008. Now we see that the Prime Minister has dealt with terrorism decisively and Prime Minister Modi has always had a very forward policy in dealing with terrorism,” said Kesavan. He commended Modi’s speech about Operation Sindoor, saying “The Prime Minister’s speech yesterday touched the heart of every Indian, especially the way he saluted our brave men and women in uniform.”In his address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that security forces have been given complete freedom to combat terrorists.
