Congress Demands Investigation into Adani Group Bribery Allegations in Odisha |

Cong MLAs demand Odisha govt address Adani group bribery allegations

Bhubanesware: Two Congress MLAs Monday demanded the Odisha govt break its silence on allegations of bribery against the Adani Group involving state officials.
During zero hour, MLA C S Raazen Ekka urged the govt to clarify its position on accusations that officials were bribed to influence decisions regarding a power supply agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The agreement allegedly involved inflated tariff rates. “The govt needs to state the facts and clear its stand on these serious allegations,” Ekka said.
Supporting his colleague’s concerns, MLA Rama Chandra Kadam called for an immediate investigation. “The govt must order a probe and take strict action against any erring officials,” Kadam demanded.
While the Adani Group has denied all allegations, law minister Prithiviraj Harichadan previously indicated that an investigation might be conducted if necessary.
The controversy stems from reports suggesting officials in various states, including Odisha, received bribes to facilitate favourable decisions for the corporate giant.
