Computer science student hangs self | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: A 20-year-old computer science student of a private college allegedly hanged himself in Infocity area here on Tuesday, police said. He regretted lying about many things in life, police sources said.
The body of the student, who belonged to Dhenkanal district, was found inside an abandoned building near his hostel in the Infocity area.
While his family members and college authorities refused to comment, a police source said, “We checked his mobile phone and came across some emotional messages. He was remorseful for lying about crucial matters of life. He also wrote about his struggle in life.”
Police are yet to ascertain why he chose the derelict building for ending his life. He was last seen at the hostel on Monday night.
“The hostel management alerted the police when he couldn’t be found in the morning. His location was determined by tracking his mobile phone,” a police officer said.
Though he had an exam on Wednesday, the college authorities, according to police, confirmed there was no academic pressure. His family members also said he wasn’t experiencing any stress, police sources said.
