Collector Conducts Surprise School Inspections to Ensure Quality Education in Jharsuguda | Bhubaneswar News


Jharsuguda: District collector Aboli Sunil Naravane conducted a surprise inspection of two upper primary schools in Laikera block following public complaints about the quality of education. The inspection revealed a teacher’s unauthorized absence prompting the collector to issue a show-cause notice
The collector, accompanied by education officials, visited Kukerama and Talmunda Upper Primary Schools to evaluate the implementation of Udiyan Tara initiative, a flagship programme aimed at improving student learning outcomes. During the inspection, teacher Krushna Kishan was found absent. “We have zero tolerance for negligence in education,” the collector said.
The inspection team also assessed student engagement and academic progress through direct interaction with pupils. The visit was part of the administration’s response to concerns raised by residents at Laikera block office regarding educational standards.
The Udiyan Tara initiative’s effectiveness and overall school performance were key focus areas during the surprise check, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to maintaining quality of education in the district.
