CM takes holy dip at Sangam

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi took the holy dip at Triveni Sangam while attending the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on Sunday. Calling the experience as a convergence of faith, tradition and divinity, Majhi said that the holy dip represents soul cleansing and human unity. “It is a remarkable privilege and spiritually enriching experience to participate in the Maha Kumbh,” he added.
He also thanked the CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, for ensuring the event’s success and even called him on the phone to express his gratitude on ‘the excellent arrangements made at Maha Kumbh’.
Speaking about the Maha Kumbh’s cultural significance, Majhi said, “As crores of devotees from across the country and overseas gather here with immense faith, the atmosphere represents India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual ethos. The spirit of devotion, discipline and harmony seen during this grand congregation is truly inspiring.”
The CM wished for everyone’s welfare, peace and prosperity and said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his exceptional outlook and valued vision to continuously heighten the spirit of India from the hamlets to the international level. It’s my pleasure to work under his guidance.”
