CM promises survivor’s wife support

Chennai: Chief minister M K Stalin on Thursday spoke over phone to Dr Nayanthara, wife of Dr Parameswaran from Tamil Nadu, who was injured in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
State govt said in an official release that Parameswaran, who was injured in the terror attack, was given preliminary treatment in Kashmir and was taken to Delhi via air ambulance. Then, Parameswaran was taken to AIIMS by TN’s special representative in Delhi A K S Vijayan, and resident commissioner of Tamil Nadu House in Delhi Ashish Kumar.

Upon reaching AIIMS, Stalin spoke to Nayanthara and assured her of all possible help. Nayanthara thanked Stalin.
State govt said 40 tourists from Tamil Nadu, who went to Pahalgam, were taken to Delhi and sent to TN by train. TN govt is involved in the process of bringing back some of the stranded tourists from Kashmir as well.
Meanwhile, Unity India condemned the terror attack. “The terrorists responsible for this heinous crime must be identified and brought to justice swiftly and decisively,” they said in a statement.
The Shia Sunni Unity Movement, India, also strongly condemned the terrorist attack. “We request govt to take strong steps against the traitors,” said Shia Sunni Unity Movement general secretary Nusrat Ali Khan. tnn
