Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar paid tributes to late Ramayan Rai, also known as Mukhiya Ji, on his ninth death anniversary, at Kushahi village under Karahgar block of Rohtas district on Tuesday. Accompanied by five cabinet colleagues, including Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Ashok Choudhary and Shrawan Kumar, the CM paid floral tributes to the statue of Rai.
The CM also planted saplings near the statue of Rai. Earlier, Rai’s son and West Champaran district magistrate Dinesh Kumar Rai welcomed the CM to the village by offering him flower bouquets, ‘angvastram’, and a memento.
The state’s minority welfare minister Zama Khan, labour resources minister Santosh Kumar Singh, and several legislators and former lawmakers were present on the occasion.
