CM Majhi allocates district responsibilities to deputy CMs & ministers

Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Majhi on Thursday assigned key responsibilities of different districts to the deputy chief ministers and other ministers of the state, designating them as ‘prabhari Mantris’.
As per the decision, deputy chief minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo was given the responsibility of Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts, while deputy chief minister Pravati Parida will take responsibility for Balasore and Bhadrak districts.
Revenue and Disaster Management minister Suresh Pujari was given the responsibility of Sundergarh and Deogarh districts, while Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water minister Rabi Narayan Naik was given the responsibility of Subarnapur and Balangir districts.
Similarly, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare minister Nityananda Gond will look after Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts. Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare minister Krushna Chandra Patra will oversee Angul and Sambalpur, and Law and Excise minister Prithiviraj Harichandan will manage Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
Health and Family Welfare minister Mukesh Mahaling was given the responsibility of Jharsuguda and Bargarh districts, and Commerce and Transport minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena will look after Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts.
Housing and Urban Development minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra will oversee Kandhamal and Boudh, Labour minister Ganesh Ram Singhkuntia will manage Kalahandi and Nuapada, and Sports and Youth Affairs minister Suryabanshi Suraj will look after Jajpur and Kendrapada districts.
Additionally, Cooperation minister Pradeep Bal Samanta was given the responsibility of Khurda and Nayagarh, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry minister Gokulananda Mallik will manage Koraput and Malkangiri, and Skill Development minister Sampad Chandra Swain will oversee Dhenkanal and Puri districts.
