CM launches real-time project monitoring dashboard for PWD | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday launched an advanced GIS-based project monitoring dashboard for the public works department (PWD) at Lok Seva Bhawan, marking a significant step towards digital governance in infrastructure development.
The new system will enable real-time monitoring of infrastructure projects across the state, replacing the previous monitoring mechanism that was plagued by information gaps and delayed decision-making, a govt statement said.
“This dashboard will revolutionise how we track and manage public infrastructure projects. It will ensure greater financial transparency and efficient project execution through features like live tracking, financial monitoring, and active hazard alerts,” said Majhi during the inauguration.
The dashboard incorporates satellite mapping technology to precisely locate projects and includes an issue tracker for monitoring challenges such as land acquisition, forest clearances, and encroachment problems. It will provide comprehensive information about projects at district and block levels, offering a current picture of public assets and ongoing works.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida, who was present at the launch, emphasised that the system would be extended to other departments to strengthen the state’s infrastructure development framework. Revenue minister Suresh Pujari and public works minister Prithviraj Harichandan attended the event.
