CM inaugurates amenities for tourists at Kakolat waterfall | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday inaugurated an array of tourist facilities at Kakolat waterfall under Gobindpur block of Nawada district. He also took stock of the facilities being provided to the tourists at Kakolat.
Accompanied by the state’s environment, forest and climate change minister Prem Kumar, the CM also inaugurated forest department’s guesthouse ‘Aranyadhara’, located near the waterfall, by cutting traditional ribbon.
Soon after the inauguration, the CM inspected different facilities at the guesthouse. Later the CM and the minister watched a documentary film on the development journey of the Kakolat waterfall.
“The Kakolat waterfall was earlier closed due to the development of eco-tourism facilities and other construction work. Now, all eco-tourism facilities have been developed. After the inauguration by the chief minister on Saturday, the waterfall has now been opened for visit of public,” a communique issued from the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.
“Major facilities which have been developed near the waterfall are an attractive main gate, which has been carved out after cutting stones, six cafeterias, selfie-point, administrative building, lavatory, ticket counter, lounge and tourist information centre. Besides, separate changing rooms for male and female have also been built,” the CMO release said.
Minister Prem Kumar said, “Inauguration of tourist facilities at Kakolat waterfall will not only provide better facilities to travellers, but will also provide new employment opportunities to the local people. Let us all together take the tourism of Bihar to new heights.”
