CM asks officials to turn Kalinga Studio into modern facility | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: During a visit to Kalinga Studio here on Sunday, chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi instructed officials to convert it into a state-of-the-art facility. He directed them to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the purpose.A first phase of development is being carried out at the studio by IDCO, which included technical buildings, an entrance plaza, indoor shooting arrangements, a community hall, water body, green area, among others. The CM directed officials to complete the remaining work promptly. Majhi said the development of the studio is crucial for the growth of Odia cinema. “It will be transformed into a fully equipped studio with all modern facilities. Discussions will be held with all stakeholders of the film industry for the studio’s development,” Majhi said.The CM was accompanied by minister for industries and skill development, Sampad Charan Swain, and additional chief secretary of the department, Hemant Sharma, who briefed Majhi about the project work.TNN
