Bhubaneswar: A decision was taken on Saturday that chief minister Mohan Majhi and five of his cabinet colleagues will visit the affected districts to assess crop damage on Sunday. A govt statement said Majhi and revenue and disaster management minister Suresh Pujari will visit Ganjam, Gajapati and Nayagarh districts.
Deputy CM K V Singh Deo will assess damage in Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur. Deputy CM Pravati Parida is scheduled to visit Bhadrak and Balasore. Food supplies and consumer welfare minister Krushna Chandra Patra will visit Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur, while cooperation minister Pradeep Bal Samanta will go to Khurda district, the govt said.TNN
