Bhubaneswar: Click a selfie with your mother and post a message expressing your love and respect for her on social media and win a prize.State govt on Tuesday launched the ‘Mother’s Day Selfie Contest‘, which will run from May 6 to 10. Participants need to click selfies and post their messages on social media platforms using hashtags ‘#MoBou’, ‘#WCDOdisha’, and ‘#MothersDay’, tagging the women and child development department. The department will select the three best and most touching entries from each platform, and the winners will be announced and awarded on May 11, on the occasion of Mother’s Day, official sources said. The winning selfies will be featured on the official social media handles of the department. During the Mother’s Day celebration at Ekamra Haat in the city, winners can collect their prizes by showing valid ID proof. The event will also host a series of fun games for mothers after 3 pm on May 11, and they can register on the spot to participate. The department has invited mothers in large numbers to actively participate in the celebrations.
