CID inspects cooperative minister KN Rajanna’s residence in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Thursday began its inquiry into the alleged attempt to honey-trap cooperative minister KN Rajanna. This followed a govt order to hold an investigation based on Rajanna’s plea.
Acting on DG & IGP Alok Mohan’s instructions, a team was formed within CID and it inspected Rajanna’s official residence in 7 Ministers Quarters, Vasanth Nagar. Sleuths are trying to identify those who allegedly attempted the honey trap, as claimed by the minister. Sources said there is no confirmation about the honey-trap team’s identity and thus no concrete information has been obtained.
There are no CCTV cameras at Rajanna’s residence and details of visitors are not recorded in any ledger. This makes it a challenging task to identify who among the hundreds of visitors might have come with the intention of a honey-trap, sources said.
Rajanna’s son MLC KN Rajendra also met Alok Mohan and submitted a petition seeking a probe into an alleged attempt on his life by a group of people who came to set up a shamiyana in Nov last year.
