CHSE begins despatching question papers for Class 12 board exam amid tight security | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Wednesday started despatching question papers for the Class 12 board exam, scheduled to begin from Feb 18, to 208 hubs across the state amid tight security.
“The question papers were routed through 10 carefully selected paths with strict security measures to ensure safe delivery. Armed guards are accompanying the vehicles carrying the papers, which have been packed in a six-layer packing system, which is not easy to break. Besides, the whole process is under CCTV surveillance and video recording of the despatching process has been done as well,” Prashant Parida, controller of examination (CHSE), said.
He added, “Today, we despatched question papers to southern and western districts. It will take three days to complete the entire process.”
As many as 393,618 candidates will appear for the annual higher secondary examination 2025 in four streams, including science, arts, commerce and vocational, in 1,276 centres across the state. All centres will be under CCTV surveillance, while five-tier checking provisions have been made to ensure zero malpractice. The annual higher secondary exam will continue until March 27.
The CHSE has issued specific guidelines for students appearing in the Plus 2 exams. Candidates are advised to enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the exam begins and occupy their allotted seats 15 minutes prior to the exam. Only admit cards and black ballpoint pens are allowed inside the exam halls. Students will receive question papers five minutes in advance and are expected to report any errors immediately.
