Chariot Parts: SJTA invites applications to buy parts of chariots | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) from Monday started the process of selling parts of the dismantled three chariots taken out during Rath Yatra in Puri last month. Interested devotees or institutions can apply online for buying the components. The last date of receiving the applications is September 15.
Chief administrator of SJTA, Arabinda Padhee, on Monday shared the link to the webpage where chariot components are on display on X.
“Every devotee is always anxious to get blessings and be close to Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath. One of the means of this unique experience is Rath Chaka (wheel of chariots) and Rath Ansha (chariot components that hold religious significance). For the last few years there has been a provision of giving away chariot components to devotees and institutions,” Padhee wrote in the post.
As per the notification, SJTA has fixed the price of chariot parts, including the wheels. Each wheel of Lord Balabhadra’s chariot is priced at Rs 60,000, Rs 50,000 for each wheel of Devi Subhadra’s chariot and Rs 1 lakh for each wheel of Lord Jagannath’s chariot. One wheel of each of the chariots would cost Rs 2 lakh. The prices of other chariot parts like Prabha, Guja and Asuari have also been fixed.
Those who want to buy the chariot parts must deposit the amount within a week after getting information from SJTA about the allotment.
