Bus ends up on median while avoiding pothole in Bengaluru | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: An Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus, heading to Kempegowda bus station from Tirupati, rammed a road divider in front of the City Civil Court on Dr BR Ambedkar Road Saturday.According to Halasurgate traffic police, the bus was carrying around 27 passengers. The driver claimed he noticed a pothole and tried to avoid it. An SUV was moving in front of the bus, and to avoid colliding with it, the driver steered to the right and hit the divider.One-third of the bus ended up on the divider, however the passengers and the crew escaped unhurt. The vehicle was cleared with the help of a crane, and no complaint was filed regarding the incident.Accident in NICE roadNear NICE Road in Nelamangala, a chain accident occurred between 1.30pm and 1.45pm. The accident involved a truck and two cars. No casualties reported. The incident caused a traffic jam of almost a kilometre for an hour.Nelamangala traffic police had a tough time reaching the accident spot and clearing the vehicles. Traffic returned to normal around 3pm. No complaint was registered as the vehicle owners agreed to bear the damage expenses, police said.
