BSUSC to appoint 4,000 assistant professors in Bihar State Universities | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: The Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC) will appoint over 4,000 assistant professors across various subjects in universities and colleges of the state within the next six months, according to its chairman Girish Kumar Chaudhary. Chaudhary said the commission has expedited pending appointments by arranging interviews and prioritizing subjects with larger vacancies to alleviate the shortage of teachers.
The commission resumed interviews for assistant professor positions about a month ago, following a prolonged hiatus. It has already announced selections in subjects like psychology, Urdu and Maithili. Interviews for 261 mathematics positions will begin on July 22. The schedule for other subjects is being finalized, Chaudhary said. In September 2020, the BSUSC advertised 4,638 assistant professor posts across 52 subjects in 13 state universities.
