Ara: All India Students Association (AISA) and the Revolutionary Young Association (RYA) members on Saturday threatened to hold ‘chakka jam‘ across the state on Dec 30, demanding the cancellation and retest of the BPSC 70th Preliminary Examination.
Addressing a press conference held at the CPI( ML) office at Shri Tola in Ara, RYA state secretary and CPI(ML) Agiyaon MLA, Shiv Prakash Ranjan, said, “The railways and the road transport services would be disrupted by the AISA and the RYA workers on Monday. We have given an ultimatum to the state govt to cancel the BPSC 70th PT exam till Sunday. Otherwise we will organise ‘chakka jam’. We have also demanded to withdraw the false cases lodged against the protesting BPSC aspirants, and to release those who have been jailed during the protest,” he said.
On Sunday, the AISA and the RYA workers would take out candle marches throughout the state to pay tributes to Sonu Kumar, a BPSC aspirant from Paliganj Patna, who reportedly committed suicide recently due to the stress. “We also demand a compensation of Rs 5 crore to the bereaved family,” Ranjan said.
