BJP’s Working Committee Meeting Preparations in Patna | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Necessary preparations have been made for the extended working committee meeting of the state BJP to be held here on Thursday.
Deputy chief minister and the party’s state chief Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday reviewed the preparations and also inspected Shri Krishna Memorial Hall, the venue of the meeting.
The extended working committee meeting has been convened to discuss ways to strengthen the party’s organisational network, prepare strategy for the upcoming byelections and state assembly polls due next year, and also chalk out plans ahead.
“In the working committee meeting, we will discuss organisational matters,” said state BJP spokesperson and former MLA, Prem Ranjan Patel.
“We will also prepare strategy for the byelections on four seats, and also deliberate on the ways to prepare for the assembly elections which are to be held next year,” he added.
Around 4,000 party functionaries associated with the state executive committee, 45 district and 1,000 mandal units, besides central and state ministers, as well as present and former MPs and MLAs, have been invited to participate in the meeting.
Party’s national general secretary and its Bihar incharge Vinod Tawde, along with a few other notable central functionaries, will also be present in the deliberations.
“Defence minister Rajnath Singh was the key speaker, but he won’t be able to make it owing to health reasons. Alternatively, who will be the key speaker will be clear only on Wednesday,” Patel said.
Sources said the meeting is being considered important as representatives of even the mandal committees are attending it.
While it is the first working committee meeting that is being held after the Lok Sabha elections, its added context is the Rupauli bypoll in the Seemanchal region that the NDA lost to independent candidate Shankar Singh.
