BENGALURU: Vinay Somaiah, a-35 -year- old BJP functionary, was found hanging inside his office in Bengaluru’s Nagawara area.
A message uploaded by Vinay on social media accused a Congress functionary of abetting the suicide by registering FIR against him.

As per the reports, just two months ago, Vinay Somaiah, a native of the Kodagu district, was arrested in connection with posting a comment against Congress MLA AS Ponnanna.
“The police will investigate the matter and take necessary action. During the investigation, the truth will come out, and action will be taken based on the findings,” news agency ANI quoted state home minister G Parameshwara as saying.
Charges were filed against him as he was the admin of the WhatsApp group where the comment reportedly appeared. Based on a complaint by Congress worker Tennera Maina, the Madikeri police registered an FIR against three individuals, including Vinay.
He was subsequently arrested and later released on bail.
