BJP: BJP and BJD Accuse Each Other of Violating Poll Code | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: BJP and BJD members on Wednesday levelled allegations of violating the model code of conduct against each other and approached the state’s chief electoral officer (CEO) to take action on their complaints.
A BJP delegation led by its former state president Samir Mohanty met the CEO and demanded action against BJD’s V K Pandian for allegedly defaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Mohanty alleged that Pandian had misquoted the PM’s speech on providing employment to youths of the country. A BJD team also visited the CEO’s office and submitted a memorandum levelling allegations against BJP’s MLA candidate Prasanta Kumar Jagadev. It demanded strict action against Jagadev for calling up and threatening women Mission Shakti staff in Tangi block of Khurda, insulting and endangering the lives of women of Odisha, read the memorandum.
