BJD neglected tribal devpt: Nadda; look around, see progress: VK Pandian | Bhubaneswar News



BHUBANESWAR: BJP president J P Nadda accused the ruling regional party of doing little for the state’s tribal communities and development, while predicting sweeping the assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing large gatherings in Karanjia, Dhamnagar, Jajpur and Erasama, Nadda accused the BJD government of neglecting tribal welfare and upliftment of poorer sections.Criticizing the BJDs governance and portraying it as ineffective and unresponsive to the needs of vulnerable groups, he urged people to throw away outsiders who doesn’t allow MLAs and MPs to meet the CM, taking a dig at Naveen Patnaik’s aide trusted aide VK Pandian.
“The BJD is using tribals as vote banks and despite huge mineral resources, tribals are migrating for work. They conspire to give away the reservation for dalit and backward classes to Muslims like Mamata did in West Bengal,” said Nadda, adding that people of Odisha decided to give chief minister Naveen Patnaik rest. Nadda highlighted several initiatives undertaken by the Modi govt, which he claimed had benefited Odisha.
T hese included infrastructure projects, schemes for tribal welfare, and various development and welfare programs aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas. In response, BJD leader, V K Pandian during rallies in different constituencies under Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha asked workers to remain united, stressing that the opposition might hatch conspiracy.
He highlighted the achievements of BJD govt in the Jagatsinghpur constituency, citing improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education and renovation of religious places as their commitment to the development of the state. He assured the gathering that the party’s vision for progress and prosperity would continue unabated, provided they maintained their unity and resolve. “Look around at the progress we have made.
This is just the beginning. With your support, we will achieve even greater heights,” he said. Pandian said seeing the massive turnout of supporters, oppositions are getting baffled so big leaders are using “foul languages” for the CM, and people will give them appropriate answers. “Opposition party is threatening and attacking the workers of BJD.
