Bhubaneswar: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said BJD had lost its relevance in Odisha while he predicted BJP will continue to govern the state for at least next five decades.
Responding to media queries in Puri, Sarma said, “BJD’s history is finished. Today, Mohan Majhi govt in Odisha completes six months in Odisha. The way the BJP govt has been working is remarkable,” he said.
Countering Sarma, BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty said his comment on BJD, which governed Odisha for nearly a quarter century is laughable. “People of Jharkhand rejected him. People in Odisha also realise his statements are not based on facts,” Mohanty said. TNN
