BJD chief resolves BeMC corporators’ rift | Bhubaneswar News

Berhampur: An ongoing internal conflict among BJD corporators in the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has been resolved following direct intervention from party president Naveen Patnaik, party officials said on Thursday.
The dispute, which centred around the controversial payment of Rs 63 lakh to the Ramalingeswar park trustee and the installation of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s statue, was addressed during a meeting at Naveen Niwas, Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday.
“The former CM has instructed all party corporators to work unitedly for the city’s development,” said Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik, BJD’s Ganjam district unit president. The meeting was attended by Mayor Sanghamitra Dalei and former MLA Bikram Kumar Panda, among others.
