Bihar Veterinary College Triumphs at State-Level RBI Quiz, Advances to Zonal Round | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: A team of Adarsh Singh and Rup Narayan from Bihar Veterinary College, Patna, emerged as the winner of the state-level RBI90Quiz, organised by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday.
Commemorating its ninetieth year of operations, the RBI has launched the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge-based quiz to promote financial literacy and critical thinking among undergraduate students.
The quiz was held in multiple stages. The online stage was held from September 19-21, when 1,400 teams from various colleges of the state participated.
Accordingly, based on the performance in the online stage, a total of 84 teams were selected to participate in the state-level round, which was held in Patna. As many as 168 students from the selected 84 teams competed in the quiz event, inaugurated by Sujit Kumar Arvind, regional director, RBI, Patna.
The teams from IIM-Bodh Gaya and LN Mishra Institute of Economic Development & Social Change, Patna, came second and third respectively. Prizes for the top three teams were Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively. The winning team will now compete in zonal round, which will take place in Bhubaneshwar on December 4. The national final will be held in Mumbai later that month.
The day’s event saw the presence of Vaidyanath Yadav, secretary of education department as the chief guest and Prof. Abhay Kumar Singh, vice-chancellor of Nalanda University as the special guest.
The programme was also attended by senior officials of the RBI and local heads of major banks among others.
