Bihar to Appoint 3,326 Dressers for Enhanced Health Services | Patna News – Times of India



Patna: Health minister Mangal Pandey on Thursday said the vacant posts of 3,326 dressers would be filled soon and the department haS already sent a requisition to the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) for the same.
The minister also mentioned that numerous new vacancies would be available in the coming months due to the opening of new hospitals in the state. “The state’s health services are reaching new heights each day and the next one to two months will witness the inauguration of new hospitals in Bihar. This will lead not only to better health services but also to the opening of employment opportunities in the state,” said the minister.
He added that the department would soon recruit a total of 3,326 dressers, which would enhance the quality and speed of health services to people. “The health department forwarded the requisition for regular appointments on the vacant posts of dressers to the BTSC, which will provide employment opportunities to the youth,” said Pandey, adding that the new hiring would also reduce extra pressure on small hospitals.
Underlining the importance of dressers and compounders in hospitals, the minister said they acted as an important link in the entire health system and their shortage resulted in difficulties for patients. “A dresser also helps the doctors and nurses in taking care of patients’ wounds,” he added.
Criticising the RJD rule in the state, the minister said the period did not have even sufficient doctors, nurses, nursing staff, medicines and other medical infrastructure, while the current regime was ensuring quality health services to people.
