Positioned in the eastern part of India and within Odisha’s coastal region, this constituency encompasses Khurda district. The polling happened on May 25. In the 2024 Bhubaneswar North (Uttar) Assembly election, key contenders included Ashok Kumar Das from the Indian National Congress (INC), Susant Kumar Rout representing the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), and Priyadarshi Mishra from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In the 2019 Bhubaneswar North (Uttar) Assembly election, Susant Kumar Rout of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) emerged victorious with 71,193 votes, securing 54.84% of the total votes polled. He won with a substantial margin of 25,414 votes (19.58%). Aparajita Mohanty from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured the second position with 45,779 votes, constituting 35.26% of the votes. Itish Kumar Pradhan of the Indian National Congress (INC) stood as the runner-up with 5,189 votes, representing 4% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Bhubaneswar North (Uttar) Assembly election, Priyadarshi Mishra of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) secured a resounding victory with 73,728 votes, commanding 65.77% of the votes polled. Dillip Mohanty from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stood as the runner-up with 24,971 votes, constituting 22.28% of the total votes polled.
