Bhoga mandap reopens at Samaleswari temple | Bhubaneswar News



Sambalpur: Union education minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday reopened the bhoga mandap in the Samaleswari temple. With it, devotees can start receiving the prasad from Sunday.
The bhoga system was shut down due to Covid-19 pandemic and could not be restarted due to demolition of existing structures in Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economic Initiative (SAMALEI) project, temple trust board sources said.
“We converted a building in the SAMALEI project into Bhoga Mandap. Devotees can avail prasad by booking by 10 am every day from Sunday,” said trust board president Sanjay Baboo. The trust board has priced the prasad thali at Rs 100.
The minister, Sambalpur MLA Jaynarayan Mishra, Sambalpur collector SB Bondar, IG (Northern range) Himanshu Lal, among others took the prasad at the reopened mandap. “The second phase of Samaleswari project will be started gradually,” Pradhan said.
In the evening, he inaugurated a book fair organised by National Book Trust of India at PHD Ground in Ainthapali here. The fair will continue till Jan 26.
